A wood-burning stove and a hydronic system can heat a home and provide hot water. The system has a boiler that's attached to a hot water tank. To heat the home, wood is added to the firebox and lit. The fire heats the water around the firebox using a heat exchanger to maximize efficiency. The heated water is then pumped through the lines in the home and eventually returns to the boiler.
